Cripple Creek Ice Festival kicks off final weekend

and last updated

Our weekend weather is great news for the final weekend of the Cripple Creek Ice Festival. The town has hundreds of blocks of ice carved into some incredible sculptures for folks to enjoy!

The theme this year is “Super Heroes in Ice”. Sculptors have been working for the past two weeks to bring these pieces to life.

Cripple Creek has brought in over 600 blocks of ice each weighing around 300 pounds! From there the artists cut, saw and chisel the ice into Super Heroes.

You can catch the finished pieces in downtown Cripple Creek this weekend. The festival is from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more details click here.
