“Coming to America” is coming to America again!
Paramount confirmed Monday Eddie Murphy will star in a sequel to the popular film.

Not too many details have been revealed about what will happen in the movie. But, according to Deadline, “Akeem learns about a long-lost son, and must return to America to meet the unlikely heir to the throne of Zamunda.”

In the original, released in 1988, Murphy played African prince Akeem. He goes to Queens, New York to avoid an arranged marriage and find true love. He ends up falling in love with the daughter of the McDowell’s owner where he got a job mopping floors. McDowell’s not to be confused with McDonald’s.

The original also starred James Earl Jones and Arsenio Hall. No word if they’ll return.

Hall and Murphy played several roles in the comedy.

The sequel is not yet titled but has a scheduled theater date of August 7, 2020.
