Wild winds die down Sunday night, skies stay dry…

Summary: Wild winds Sunday, as high as 81, 79 and 78 at the Air Force Academy, will rapidly quiet down Sunday evening…and the mild weather will remain…with a slow decent on the thermometer…until Wednesday night, when the bottom crashes. It wont be very cold for long, warming up Friday afternoon.

Short term…a storm crashing the western slopes of the Rockies is rapidly fizzling out. Only patchy high clouds survive the trip over Pike’s Peak. There really isn’t a legitimate high pressure between this one and the next storm…which is now arriving on the California coastline…so it’s wait-n-see on that one…midweek.

Our only realistic chance for measurable precip is Wednesday PM into Thursday AM, but it looks lightweight.
