Gone are the days when all students had to attend their local schools. In fact, on schoolchoiceweek.com you can see all the different education possibilities open to your kids.
The great thing about our state, students can transfer schools if the school they are interested in has room. We spoke to one family who made the change and never looked back.
Angela was enrolled in a local public school and says it just didn’t feel like home. Her family decided to make a change and consider some different options.
“Just thinking outside the box, made me have different ideas like, I can go to a Catholic school, I can go to a Christian school,” said Angela.
After trying a variety of private and charter schools Angela discovered Colorado Springs Christian School and says something very special happened!
“I had just seen something in her from the shadow day that I hadn’t seen in any schools that we’d gone to,” described Angela’s mom Andreanna Romero. “They both made the transition and I think it’s the best move we did.”
Today, Angela and her sister Alana are both thriving at Colorado Springs Christian School. We’re told Angela is acing her classes and is also quite the basketball star.
Interested in learning your options? There will be a school fair today from 4 p.m. -8 p.m. at the Space Foundation. It’s opens to all families.
