SACRAMENTO, CA – An intoxicated Uber passenger is arrested after trying to crash the car he was riding in.
Uber driver Dax Castro’s dashcam caught the moment his passenger suddenly grabbed the steering wheel in an attempt to cause an accident.
“He yanks the car across two lanes of traffic and of course I freaked out and hit his hand,” Castro said. “You stay there, I’ll stay here. Let me get you home. I mean what am I going to do. I can’t drop him off on the side of the highway.”
Castro struggled with the passenger as he continued to drive, and was eventually able to stop the vehicle and call the police.
They arrested 32-year-old Tswj Vang on a charge of driving under the influence.
Castro said he feared for his life, but joked about the accident saying, “If he threw up in my car I would get $250 cleaning bonus, but because he tried to kill me I get nothing.
