NBC – Federal health officials have announced that an E-Coli outbreak linked to Romaine lettuce is officially over.

In the statement, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says no one has become ill since December, and all of the affected lettuce was removed from store shelves.

A total of 62 people in the U.S. got sick during the outbreak, including 25 who had to be hospitalized. No deaths were reported.

The outbreak was linked to farms in California, and remains under investigation.
