AURORA – Roughly 50-members of a helicopter unit based at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora are deploying to Afghanistan Wednesday.
Their mission supports Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and is expected to last a year. A send-off ceremony took place at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver Wednesday morning.
