The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region wants to help you find a four legged friend just in time for the holidays.

Some local businesses are even helping them reach that goal!

Two local businesses, Status Symbol Auto Body and Dent-Tec are donating $25 for each cat or dog that finds a home this holiday season. That money will help support various services and programs offered at the shelter.

“We estimate that our seniors cost about $888 to rehabilitate,” said Gretchen Pressley with the Humane Society of the Pikes.”That’s blood work, dental, if they need to be spayed or neutered, checking for lump biopsies and making sure they’re in the best shape possible for their new homes.”

The Humane Society hopes to find homes for anywhere from 700 to 1,000 pets by Christmas Eve.
