CHANDLER, Ariz – Unleaded gas was sold for $0.02 per gallon and diesel for $0.03 a gallon at numerous Circle K stores across the U.S. Tuesday.
Employees blamed a companywide computer glitch for the huge price reduction, that likely cost the company thousands of dollars. The prices only lasted for about an hour before they returned back to normal.
The brief glitch allowed one woman to fill up her car for $0.35 cents at a station in Chandler, Ariz.
9NEWS in Denver shared a viewer submitted photo that showed the discount at a gas station in the Mile High City Tuesday night.
It’s not clear at this time if any stores in southern Colorado were affected.
