Jimmy Dean recall

More than 29,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean frozen pork and poultry sausage is being recalled after five people found metal pieces in the sausages.

The recall affects packages of sausages that were produced and packaged on Aug. 4, 2018.  The 23.4-oz packages have a use by date of Jan. 31, 2019.

The packages also have the case code “A6382168” and a time stamp range from 11:58 to 1:49.

The US Department of Agriculture issued the recall due to concern the sausage links could still be in some freezers.

Anyone affected by the recall should throw them away or return them to the store where they were purchased.

If you have questions about the recall, call the Jimmy Dean customer service line at 855-382-3101.
