Subaru, Toyota issue recall on models with part that could lead to engines stalling

Subaru and Toyota announced they are recalling 165,000 vehicles because they have a part that could lead to the engines stalling.

The companies issued the recall after learning some models have valve springs that could fracture and cause the engine to stall, which could lead to a crash or severe damage.

Subaru is recalling certain models of 2012-13 four-door and five-door Subaru Imprezas. the Subaru XV Crosstrek and the Subaru BRZ.

The 2012-13 Scion FR-S is also being recalled by Toyota. Subaru said it is not aware of any crashes or injuries because of the defect.
