MANITOU SPRINGS – A woman died Sunday from an apparent fall on the Barr Trail in Manitou Springs.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified woman fell in a rugged area of the trail. Attempts were made using aircraft to recover her body, but due to the terrain, those attempts were unsuccessful.
Recovery efforts will resume at sunrise Monday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office said no criminal intent is suspected in the fall.
