Florida man arrested as part of mail bomb investigation

FLORIDA – Law enforcement in Plantation, Florida have arrested a 56-year-old man accused of mailing at least 12 devices that look like bombs to prominent Democrats and critics of President Donald Trump.

Cesar Sayoc was picked up in the city north of Miami based on DNA evidence, according to a law enforcement source speaking to the Associated Press.

Authorities were seen examining a white van with a large amount of politically related stickers across the windows early this afternoon. There were logos for the Republican National Committee, stickers of President Trump, pictures with Hillary Clinton and director Michael Moore covered with crosshairs, and many anti-Democrat slogans.

The van was towed away on a flatbed trailer, covered with a tarp, while at least 5 law enforcement trucks surrounded the vehicle on a Florida interstate.

This morning two more devices were recovered after they were mailed to Senator Cory Booker (D – New Jersey) and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.  The devices were recovered in postal facilities in Florida and Manhattan.

The other devices recovered this week were sent to philanthropist George Soros, former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, Robert De Niro, former Attorney General Eric Holder, former Vice President Joe Biden, Rep. Maxine Waters, former CIA Director John Brennan, and the CNN headquarters in New York City.
