Damp and dreary weather I remembering promising you this past weekend, is ending this evening, and skies will want to begin clearing up…but I am afraid that even if they do, the high moisture content in the air will combine with falling nighttime temperatures, to produce fog anyway. So, be aware that even if skies do break this evening, it may be short-lived.
In any event, let’s call Thursday and Friday, “fair”, because they will be bright & dry, but not cloud-free. More like a mix of sun & clouds. Saturday looks fantastic. A cool front passes through some time in the first half of Sunday, and will probably retard the temperatures a bit that day, but it looks short-lived, and temperatures warm up again Monday. It is the extended forecast, where things get more “interesting”.
Colorado Springs: Low: 38, High: 65. Partial clearing this evening, but fog overnight. Early fog/low clouds, then mixed sun & clouds Thursday, and much warmer.

Woodland Park: Low:32, High: 54. Partial clearing tonight. Mixed sun & clouds Thursday, and much warmer.
Tri-Lakes: Low: 34, High: 58. Partial clearing tonight. Mixed sun & clouds Thursday, and much warmer.
The Plains: Low: 42, High: 70. Rain ends early…partial clearing this evening, but fog overnight. Early fog/low clouds, then mixed sun & clouds Thursday, and much warmer.
Trinidad/Walsenburg: Low: 38, High: 65. Partial clearing tonight. Mixed sun & clouds Thursday, and much warmer.
Extended Outlook…Come Tuesday…the 30th, a deepening storm is expected to be moving down from the PAC northwest, increasing clouds, wind, and dumping temperatures into the chilly range, to say the least, yes…just in time for Trick-or-Treaters. Right now, I am thinking, blustery and chilly…with temps in the low to mid 40s, and maybe even flurries in the air!
