COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking for its next round of officers.
Applications for the 2019 police academy are due Monday. CSPD is looking to hire about 48 people to go through the academy. After this class, applications close for about eight or nine months.
Applicants must be 21 or order, never convicted of a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence. Applicants also must have an associates degree or at least 60 college semester hours. Pay starts at $4,270.93 a month.
Duties include patrolling in a marked vehicle, responding to calls from citizens and provide assistance in keeping the peace.
