COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for public help in locating a car that was reported stolen after an assault Tuesday morning.
The incident happened just before 4:30 a.m., where officers responded to the assault and motor vehicle theft in the 500 block of Dale Street. The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is investigating the incident.
The car is described as a 2011 white Chevy Cruz with Colorado passenger handicap license plate OKL-714. Police said there is damage to passenger’s side of the car in the form of a horizontal crease to the metal.
Officers also confirmed the victim and the owner of the car, in this case, was an Uber driver. Anyone with information or is a witness to this investigation is asked to call CSPD at (719) 444-7000.
