COLORADO SPRINGS – News5 is learning more about a wild crime spree overnight in Colorado Springs.

It started with a Jeep intentionally smashing into not one, but two businesses.  The first business hit was the Famous Footwear on North Powers Boulevard. Police say the suspects got away with merchandise.

A short time later, a marijuana dispensary on North Chelton Rd. was hit and this time the Jeep became stuck in the store. It’s unclear if anything was stolen there.

Smash and Grab
Colorado Springs Police say a group in a Jeep tried to smash their way into a marijuana dispensary in Colorado Springs.

Police say four people in the Jeep then jumped into two other vehicles and left the area.

Not long after, police received a report of people in two vehicles shooting at one another near Academy Blvd and Bijou St.

Police now think the vehicles involved in that shooting, were the same ones seen leaving the marijuana store.

Police caught up with one of the vehicles near downtown after they found it was almost hit by a train and the people inside jumped out and ran.

So far, no arrests have been made.
