PUEBLO WEST – If you live in Pueblo West, the District wants your money to improve the roads.

The Metro District wants voters to decide in November if they want to put in a one-percent sales tax to improve roads.

The District said the number one complaint in the last two community surveys it has done is roads.

“We’re basically at a point right now where we are doing what we can with very limited resources, very limited budget, and it is safe to say that we are not able to maintain them to community standards at this point,” said Jay Michael Baker of the Pueblo West Metro District.

The District said if it is approve, the tax will bring in about $1.5 million specifically for roads.

The Metro Board still has to approve the ballot measure this month for it to be voted on in November.
