COLORADO SPRINGS – Two people were arrested after a 23-year-old man was found with two gunshot wounds at a local homeless camp early Saturday.

Colorado Springs Police officers with the Gold Hills Division were dispatched to a reported shooting at a homeless camp near the intersection of Royer Street and Las Vegas Street just before 3:30 a.m.

Police said a 23-year-old male with two gunshot wounds was found on scene. He was transported to a local hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

An officer in the area, on an unrelated call, then saw two people walking away from the scene. They were later identified as 21-year-old Hunter Edder and 33-year-old Carlos Angel.

The investigation lead officers to arrest the two suspects, as they are now facing Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery.
