Flash flooding is expected and can be seen in Wetmore and the Junkins burn scar. Excess rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Hardscrabble drainage. NWS says the debris flow can include rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
This follows major flash flooding in the Hardscrabble Creek area last weekend that closed Highway 96 between Wetmore and Westcliffe.
People are asked not to drive or walk through any flooded areas.
