Shortly after 12:00 a.m. Saturday morning, CSPD officers responded to a disturbance in the 6300 block of Cabana Circle in northeast Colorado Springs.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived they found an adult male inside the residence with traumatic injuries.
Officers began lifesaving efforts immediately after locating the man. The Colorado Springs Fired Department a short time later and began advanced lifesaving protocols. CSPD said these efforts proved futile and CSFD confirmed the death of the man.
The CSPD Violent Crimes Section responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. CSPD said the person on-scene who reported the disturbance is a person of interest and is cooperating with detectives. The investigation into the incident continues.
