Colorado Springs Police officers received reports of up to 20 suspects breaking into cars and being "belligerent" early Sunday morning.
Officers were dispatched to 120 Coleridge Ave around 2:46 a.m. regarding a disturbance where several cars had been broken into. Officers spoke with a security guard at the scene, who gave police a suspect description of an alleged suspect.
Police said the security guard noticed the suspect returned to the area. Officers approached the suspect, a short foot pursuit ensued, and he was then taken into custody.
The suspect admitted to officers that he had been breaking into cars that night and provided evidence that connected him to one of the burglarized vehicles.
