Park County government confirmed via Twitter that there is a "potentially large wildland fire" burning in the western part of the county.
The fire is burning in the Buffalo Peaks/Weston Pass area, which is located between Leadville, Fairplay and Twin Lakes.
At this time there is no estimated size for the fire and the cause is unknown.
