She made it! Mandy Horvath, a Colorado Springs double-amputee who recently climbed the Manitou Incline, has made her way atop America’s mountain.

The 25-year-old UCCS student recently celebrated her birthday and said for her birthday she wanted to summit Pikes Peak. Well, around 6 p.m. Wednesday, she did just that.

Horvath captured the attention of thousands by making her way up the Manitou Incline with her hands and rear, but decided to push herself to new heights, literally. She told News 5 in a recent story, "I always said that I’m going to do it on my rear and my hands and nobody believed me, but I did that."

She was all smiles as she stood at the top of Pikes Peak, with her friends and family cheering as she defied any odds against her.

The trip did take Horvath a little longer than expected, as the rocky terrain was a bit tougher than the railroad ties of the Incline. We send our congratulations for such an inspiring achievement, you go girl!
