What’s the saying, it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.

Well, with a true act of sportsmanship, one Minnesota high school baseball player recently showed that he knows how to play the game the right way.

The video seen above has recently been making its way around the internet via social media. In it, you see Mounds View High School pitcher Ty Koehn on the mound attempting to get the last out for his team in the Minnesota 4-A State Quarterfinals.

The batter Koehn is facing is his longtime friend, Jack Kocon. The two grew up playing little league together, and despite going to different high schools, they remain close friends.

In the video, you see Koehn strike out his friend to end the game. Instead of celebrating with his team, Koehn immediately runs to the plate and hugs Kocon. Koehn consoles Kocon and walks his friend back towards the dugout before going to celebrate with his team.

After the game, Koehn was quoted as saying, "Our friendship is more important than just the silly outcome of a game."
