El Paso County Sheriff Bill Elder has ordered Stage II Fire Restrictions for all unincorporated areas of El Paso County.
The county says the restrictions will go into effect immediately.
This means the following activities will be prohibited:
- Campfires.
- The sale or use of fireworks.
- Outdoor smoking except within an enclosed vehicle or building.
- Public prescribed burning/burn permits.
- Outdoor cooking and/or fires on private property.
The Stage II Restrictions will remain in effect until the restrictions are modified pursuant to El Paso County Ordinance #150-001.
