The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is still waiting for its two pregnant giraffes to give birth, weeks after their expected due dates.

The zoo expected 20-year old Muziki’s to give birth on April 28. But now, more than a month later, Muziki is still expecting. Muziki’s friend,10-year old Laikipia, was set due on May 5.

When the giraffes arrive, they will be the zoo’s 200th and 201st giraffes, expanding the total number in the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo herd to 19.

Giraffe gestations are typically 14.5 months, but they can be longer or shorter depending on the individual pregnancy.

The zoo began live streaming the giraffe birth on April 4, but nearly two months later, we’re all still waiting.
