It was just not meant to be for Pueblo West.

In a rematch from two years ago, Pueblo West couldn’t handle the Valor Christian pitching staff in a 5-1 loss in the 4A State Baseball title game.

The win is a third straight title for Valor Christian.

The Cyclones got one hit in the game, an RBI double from catcher Zach Thomas in the top of the seventh inning to break up Radek Birkholz no-hitter bid in the title game.

Pueblo West lost back to back games in the 4A tournament, falling to Cheyenne Mountain 7-6 on Tuesday in a knock out game for the Indians.

The Cyclones end the season 19-6.
