The fish are starting to bite in Colorado waters and Colorado Parks & Wildlife wants to give everyone a chance to get out and wet a line.

The agency is doing just that with the free fishing weekend initiative happening this upcoming weekend on June 2nd and 3rd.

On Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd, anyone can fish in the State of Colorado, no license needed.

Although a license is not needed, CPW wants to remind the public that all other rules and regulations are still in place for free fishing weekend. Those with question should contact at CPW regional officer or consult the Colorado Fishing Brochure.

Fishing licenses can be purchased at an??y Colorado Parks and Wildlife office or from one of the more than 600 license agents across the state. They can also be purchased online. For more information or to purchase a fishing license, visit: Colorado Fishing.
