A driver was killed in a single car crash in Fremont County Friday.
Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash that happened on Fremont County Road 67 approximately 14 miles north of Florence around 3 p.m. CSP said a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound when it drifted off the left side of the road and into an embankment.
The SUV then went into a large ravine where the driver was ejected out of the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene, according to CSP. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver’s identity is not being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
