Colorado Springs Police identified the driver killed in a crash on Barnes Road east of Charlotte Parkway just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Officers said 47-year-old Ernest Almazen was killed when officers said his 2016 Toyota SUV hit the center median, guard rail and bridge barrier, causing the vehicle to roll onto its roof. The SUV then hit the opposite curb and rolled onto its side.
CSPD said he died from his injuries, and alcohol could be a contributing factor in the crash.
Almazen is the 13th traffic death in Colorado Springs in 2018.
