El Paso County deputies have taken over an investigation of a shooting that Colorado Springs Police now say happened in the county outside of the city.
The person who was shot is now in the hospital, that person’s condition is not known at this time.
Authorities said they don’t know exactly where the shooting took place, but it wasn’t at the Kum and Go gas station off of the Hancock Expressway where the victim ended up.
Deputies said they’re getting inconsistent stories in their investigation, which is slowing their ability to get information about a possible suspect.
The Media staging area for the shooting in the 3000 block of Hancock Exwy will be the church parking lot, east of the Kum and Go convenience store.
