You may have noticed an unusual billboard on the side of I-25 today, near Garden of the Gods.

It was put up to warn parents and teachers about potent marijuana products that students are getting their hands on.

Smart Colorado is the non-profit behind the "deceptively different" campaign and billboard.

They say today’s marijuana products not only look different–but are consumed differently.

No one under the age of 21 is allowed to purchase recreational marijuana in Colorado.

But "Smart Colorado" says some teenagers have learned how to get around that, telling News5 they’re seeing an alarming trend in the medical marijuana industry.

"An 18 year-old will get their medical marijuana pain for severe pain.  Because they can buy twice as much, and products and potencies are unlimited, they become an entrepreneur and can actually sell it to their friends," said Hanny Lasley, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Smart Colorado.

The billboard was strategically put up, just in time for 4/20, as well as the state’s PTA conference–which is being held in the Springs this year.

It will stay up for a month, and Smart Colorado estimates about half a million people will see it in that time.
