We now know the name of the man killed in a motorcycle crash on Tutt Blvd. on June 2.

Colorado Springs police says 28-year-old Matthew Headley was southbound on Tutt Blvd. when he lost control at Alderney Way, went off the road and hit a light police. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

Police say Headley was not wearing a helmet and died on scene. According to police, alcohol and speed are believed to have played a role. While Colorado law only requires riders under 18 to wear a helmet, it is strongly suggested that every rider wears a helmet and additional protective gear to reduce the risk of death and serious injury.

This death is the 22nd traffic fatality this year in Colorado Springs.
