Several community agencies, churches and local businesses are hosting a back to school drive, but they need your help. The very first Backpack Bash is less than two week away, and they still need donations to make a difference.

They're hoping to collect and distribute over 4,000 backpacks this year, and they're collecting all kinds of school supplies! They're collecting colored pencils, notebooks, markers - you name it!
Organizers tells us they're still short on supplies, clothing and hygiene items.

"We've got a lot of families that are really struggling especially this time of year things get busy, things get tight," said Executive Director of COS I Love You and Backpack Bash Organizer Stu Davis. "We've got a lot of families with parents working multiple jobs."

Not sure what to donate? They also need volunteers for the big event. The Backpack Bash takes place next Saturday, August 10th. They'll also be giving free haircuts and dental screenings on the big day.
