It's time to recognize this month's winner of the Teachers First Award, Laura Horner, the 8th grade math teacher at Frances L. Jenkins Middle School in Colorado Springs District 11.

Ms. Horner was nominated by her assistant principal who says she "relentlessly works to find a way to reach all of her students."

"With a differentiated approach, Ms. Horner graciously accepts students to her class of all ability levels, meets them where they are at, and pushed them to achieve their fullest potential," writes Michael Anderson.

She was a bit more humble in saying "I just try to make math fun!"

Congratulations to Ms. Horner, November's winner of the Teachers First Award.
