MONUMENT — It's time for one of our favorite events in southern Colorado!

KOAA News5 will be walking in the annual 4th of July parade in Monument, which starts at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Come meet News5 personalities along the parade route, which runs from S. Jefferson Street and Lincoln Avenue to Beacon Lite and 2nd Street.

Come on up for the Palmer Lake Fun Run, pancake breakfast, children's parade, Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce Street Fair, beer garden, live music in Limbach Park and fireworks. If you do attend, be sure to come early and park at Lewis-Palmer High School to ride the shuttle bus. Buses will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and they will run from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information about events.
