COLORADO SPRINGS — You know you do. TopCashback.com surveyed more than 3 thousand parents and they’re letting us know we aren’t alone.
The survey shows that 78 percent of parents admitted to stealing from their kids' Halloween stash. I’m shocked. Who are these 22% that don’t take a piece of candy?
About 71 percent of you buy more candy than you’ll need for Halloween night. And a quarter of us heathens eat more of that candy than our kids do!
Which ones are you digging for in the candy bag? Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and snickers seem to be the top picks.
You see, I don’t consider it stealing. We deserve a cut. I put a lot of effort into lugging three kids to the store to get that candy while dealing with fits because we can’t open and eat it right then and there. Costumes, face paint and being able to successfully trick-or-treat. That’s work.
Speaking of face painting, you can watch the video and see my poor attempts at a dinosaur and giraffe. But before you watch it please know I had to rush home for work and do it before taking Mav to preschool- which left me about a 30 minute window. If you know that, then it’s not so bad 🤣
Also, what do you do with your leftover candy?
