Looking for something to do this weekend? The News5 team has come up with a list of events that you should check out in Southern Colorado.

What: Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary of service to the Park on May 15. In celebration, they are presenting a year of special programs and events as part of the Garden of the Gods Adventure Series.

Knitting with a View
Join in for a relaxing afternoon of knitting or crocheting at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. Meet fellow hand-crafters and enjoy the best view in Colorado Springs!
When: January 12
Where: Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center
Time: 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per ticket

Hike with a naturalist
Join a Garden of the Gods park naturalist on a 2.5 mile guided hike from the Visitor and Nature Center through the Central Garden. The focus will be on the nature behind the park designation of National Natural Landmark. Bring your questions! Cameras and binoculars welcome. Dress for the weather with hiking shoes, and bring a hat, water and sunscreen.
When: January 24

Cost: $5 per ticket

Coloring with a view
Coloring is a great way to relieve stress and be creative, and it isn’t just for kids. Coloring is a relaxing way for grown-ups to explore art too! Join in for a fun afternoon of coloring while enjoying beautiful views of Garden of the Gods. High quality coloring sheets featuring Garden of the Gods and other local themes are provided by historian and artist Susan Fletcher. Art supplies will be available for use or feel free to bring your own. Children must be supervised by a parent or adult guardian.
When: January 26
Where: Bean Spouts Café.
Time: 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Cost: $5 per ticket

Magic for children
Magic for all ages! Professional magician Cosmo Solano performs an afternoon of comedy, magic and sleight of hand for the entire family! The event includes expert sleight of hand and magic geared towards younger children (3 and up!) which amazes both children and adults!
When: January 11
Where: 2780 Janitell Rd, in Colorado Springs
Time: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Cost: All seats $12.50 Four or more (group price): $11 per ticket.

Monarch Mountain Backcountry Days
It's Backcountry Day at Monarch Mountain! Join in as CO AVITalks as part of NSAA National Safety Month for backcountry education and activities. Attend a Know Before You Go, KBYG program. Check out backcountry merchandise vendors, and take part in uphill/downhill activities.
