BOULDER, Colo. — Firefighters are responding to an apartment complex in Boulder for a large fire burning in multiple buildings.

Calls for the fire first came out just before 5 a.m. at the Magwood Apartments located at 2880 Kalmia Ave, according to Dionne Waugh, a public information officer for the City of Boulder.

AIRTRACKER7 captured video of flames shooting for the roof of the buildings and heavy smoke as crews worked to extinguish the fire.

Everyone was able to evacuate safely and no injuries have been reported, Waugh said.

Thirty-one people from 24 units have been displaced, and the American Red Cross has responded to assist those families and said Friday afternoon it had helped 31 people form the 24 units. Displaced residents needing more information can contact the Red Cross at 1-800-417-0495.

As of Friday afternoon, three GoFundMe's had been verified by the company. Among those displaced by the fire was Pedro Berrizbeitia, Linell Juliet, and a woman named Tarryn.

Most of the fire was out 8:30 a.m., though it remains active under a solar panel. Firefighters are bringing in a drone to see where they can attack hot spots. Crews will likely be out at the scene for much of the day.

Waugh said firefighters believe the fire sparked in the upper part of the building, and then spread along and through the attic, traveling above the sprinkler system. They're also looking into how wind may have played a role.

The cause remains under investigation.
