It’s Labor Day Weekend and here are some of the events going on around town for the holiday weekend.
Victor Celebrates the Arts
Victor will host the 18th annual En Plein Air Artist’s Competition this weekend. Artists from all over will come to pain in town. More than 20 awards will be presented and there will be plenty of viewing opportunities Saturday through Monday. The event is free. Find more informationhere.
Labor Day Lift Off
The Labor Day Lift Off returns to Colorado Springs this weekend. From Saturday to Monday Memorial Park will have over 70 balloon launches every morning followed by the Wings of Blue parachutists, a wakeboarding exhibition, paddle board events, field activities, food vendors and more before the Balloon Glow in the evenings. Commonwheel Artists Weekend Art Festival
Commonwheel Artists Co-op will hold their annual Labor Day Weekend Art Festival from 10 am to 5 pm this Saturday to Monday. Admission will be free for the festival in Memorial Park in Manitou Springs where there will be more than 100 booths featuring arts and crafts along with live entertainment, prizes, food booths, and kids activities. Vintage Baseball Game
Rock Ledge Ranch will step back in baseball history this weekend with a vintage baseball game on Labor day. The home team Camp Creek Cloud Busters will take on the Denver & Rio Grande Reds at the ranch just like they played in 1882. Festivities will be from 10 am to 5 pm with the first pitch being thrown at 1 pm. Regular ranch admission will apply, $8 for adults and $4 for kids. Find more informationhere.
