...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of western Otero, north
central Las Animas, southwestern Crowley and southeastern Pueblo
Counties through 815 PM MDT...
At 712 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles north of Olney Springs to 15 miles
north of Delhi to 7 miles west of Tyrone. Movement was southeast at
20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, half inch hail and torrential
rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rocky Ford, Fowler, Manzanola, Olney Springs, Delhi, Model, Timpas,
Thatcher and Tyrone.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
