Today’s Forecast:
An upper level low pressure system to our west sweeps clouds, chilly air, and moisture back through Colorado today. Rain chances are pretty low for most areas north of highway 50 but anyone in the plains south of the highway has a decent chance of seeing scattered light rain through the afternoon. Cloud cover will be thick today and that will make temperatures about 4 to 8 degrees cooler than it was yesterday. The Pikes Peak region will likely stay dry today other than a stray shower or two in the mountains.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 49; Low – 33. Cloudy and chilly today with a stronger mid to late afternoon wind, we could see gusts up around 20 to 25 mph. Chances are higher today we stay dry than see rain.

PUEBLO: High – 54; Low – 36. Cloudy and chilly today with a gentle breeze through the afternoon. We should stay dry in Pueblo but a few sprinkles in the afternoon are possible.

CANON CITY: High – 52; Low – 36. Cloudy and chilly through Canon City with a light wind through the day. Dry skies are likely but the mountains to the south may see a light rain/snow shower.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 44; Low – 27. Cloudy, cold and breezy today with only a few showers and sprinkles possible through the high terrain, especially south of Woodland Park.

TRI-LAKES: High – 40s; Low – 20s. Cloudy, dry and chilly today with a stronger breeze through the afternoon.

PLAINS: High – 50s; Low – 40s. Cloudy and chilly today with scattered off and on showers across the plains through the end of the day. Any rain we see will be light and spotty with all areas south of highway 50 the most likely spots to see rain.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40s; Low – 30s. Spotty showers are possible off and on through the day across the southern I-25 corridor and west into the mountains. The mountains could see a mix of light rain and snow but Walsenburg through Trinidad should stay warm enough for any moisture to fall as just light rain.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Sunny skies return tomorrow with zero rain chances for the next 7 days! Temperatures will steadily warm into the weekend but tomorrow will still be fairly cool with Springs warming to the mid 50s and Pueblo the lower 60s. Sunday looks to be the next spectacular afternoon with Springs up near 70 and Pueblo into the mid 70s!
