Today’s Forecast: Cold front has passed and MUCH colder air is moving in. We already hit our high temperatures for the day. We’re more likely to drop temperatures than see them warm today. The cold will be combined with strong winds at times for even colder wind chills. Chances for snow today with blowing snow and low visibility at times. The north wind will try to cut down out snow potential around Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Around a trace to 2″ for most lower elevation areas with totals increasing heading up the Palmer Divide, down the southern I-25 corridor, and west into the higher elevations.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 27; Low – 14. Cold and windy with snow chances. Trace-2″ possible.

PUEBLO: High – 36; Low – 17. Snow chances with cold and wind. About a trace to 2″ possible.

CANON CITY: High – 36; Low – 16. Windy and cold with snow chances. 2-4″ possible.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 18; Low – 7. Cold, wind, and snow with 2-5″ possible.

TRI-LAKES: High – 20’s; Low – 10’s. Bitterly cold and windy today with snow chances. Up to 1-3″ possible

PLAINS: High – 30’s; Low – 20’s. Windy and cold with areas of snow. Trace to 2″ for most, isolated higher totals mainly south of Hwy 50.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 30’s; Low – 10’s. Cold and windy with snow at times today. Up to 2-4″ possible.

REST OF THE WEEK: Skies clear overnight with lows getting down to the teens, which is the coldest we’ve had so far this season. A hard freeze everywhere tonight. Bitterly cold Monday morning with little improvement in temperatures. Highs only in the 30’s and 40’s. Warmer, drier, and sunny for the rest of the week. Passing clouds at times, but nothing major heading our way after our taste of winter. Temperatures warm a bit each day, getting into the 60’s for most areas by the second half of the week.
