Today’s Forecast:
Another very hot day with record temperatures likely from Springs to Pueblo. Dry and and a bit of a down slope breeze work together today to grab some big time heat across southern Colorado. The cloud cover will pose a bit of a challenge for temperatures to break the record today, but we should still have enough morning and early afternoon sunshine to send our highs soaring above average for this time of year. An isolated shower is possible over the mountains and Palmer Divide today but most of us stay completely dry.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 89; Low – 55. Sunny to start with afternoon clouds and hot temperatures.

PUEBLO: High – 97; Low – 57. Sunny to start with some afternoon clouds and very hot temperatures.

CANON CITY: High – 94; Low – 59. Sunny to start with afternoon clouds and hot temperatures.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 79; Low – 49. Sunny to start with afternoon clouds and warm temperatures. An isolated shower is possible but dry air will probably prevent anything from reaching the ground.

TRI-LAKES: High – 80s; Low – 50s. Sunny to start with afternoon clouds and hot temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 90s; Low – 60s. Sunny to start with a few afternoon clouds and very hot temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 80s; Low – 50s. Sunny to start with afternoon clouds and hot temperatures.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Heat stays in place for the rest of the week and over the weekend. Records are likely going to be busted tomorrow with Colorado Springs forecast to hit 91 degrees and Pueblo 98! The rest of of the week we’ll have records either being tied or broken and with zero chances for rain for the foreseeable future.
