Tranquil weather continues in the forecast, through midday Saturday. We have a SW flow at most levels of the atmosphere, overhead, which means…any moisture that tries to leak in, has to contend with numerous mountain ranges squeezing whatever moisture comes through, evaporating almost all of it.

In the short term, expect temperatures to warm up fast for Thursday & Friday. But, a cool front passes through almost imperceptibly, Friday late afternoon, dropping temperatures back towards seasonal levels for the weekend. Best rain chances are in the extended portion of the forecast…

Colorado Springs; Low: 55, High: 90. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Pueblo; Low: 57, High: 97. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Canon City; Low: 57, High: 94. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Woodland Park; Low: 48, High: 80. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Tri Lakes; Low: 52, High: 87. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Plains; Low: 60, High: 99. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Walsenburg/Trinidad; Low: 59, High: 93. Clear tonight. Sunny & hot Thursday.

Extended Outlook…Dry Friday. Saturday PM, there is a good chance for PM storms particularly east of El Paso/Pueblo Counties. Sunday, the chances are highest for southern counties, Las Animas and Baca.
