Tonight’s Forecast:
The proximity of an upper level low (storm at high altitude) will cut off the heat for a few days. It has a dry line extending out to the southeast of it, and as that dry line progresses further and further to the northeast each day, the rain chances go with it. Realistically, for the holiday (and beyond) the only chances for a cool-off storm are Monument north…and Eades/Lamar/Springfield and east…for the Holiday. For Tuesday, even further north and east, out of our area.

And, as we close in on the end of this coming week, the heat ramps back up Thursday and Friday.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 54, High – 80. Clearing up this evening, clear overnight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday.

PUEBLO: Low – 56, High – 88. Clearing up this evening, clear overnight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday.

CANON CITY: Low – 56, High – 84. Becoming clear tonight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 48, High – 72. Clearing up this evening, clear overnight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday…possible PM storm.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 52, High – 77. Clearing up this evening, clear overnight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday. Possible PM storm.

PLAINS: Low – 60, High – 96. Clearing up this evening, clear overnight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday. Possible PM storm.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 58, High – 92. Clearing up this evening, clear overnight. Sunny then partly sunny Monday.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: The upper level low takes the threat for rain with it Tuesday, and the heat wave returns later this coming week…
