Today’s Forecast:
Pretty simple forecast today: Hot and dry! We’ll have lots of sunshine over southern Colorado and with all the dry ground in place, we’ll heat the air very quickly. We’ll replace the sun with some afternoon cloud cover due to the warm, rising air, but most of our area will stay nice and dry. If we do see storms later today, they would form out towards the far eastern border but quickly run into Kansas. We could see some large hail and strong winds on the border but again, most of the storm activity tonight will be out in Kansas.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a few afternoon clouds, hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny, very hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny, hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a few afternoon clouds, warm and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a few afternoon clouds, hot and dry with a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

PLAINS: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny and very hot with a few late day storms possible on the far eastern border mainly north of highway 50.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 67; Low – 33. Sunny with a few afternoon clouds, hot and dry with a breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
We kick temperatures up about 3 degree warmer for Friday but the big heat moves in for Saturday and Sunday. If we hit 90 in the Springs Saturday that will be not only the warmest temperatures of the year, but it would also tie the record! We’ll cool things down a bit early next week with small rain and storm chances from Monday through Wednesday.
