Today’s Forecast:
A nice day is coming to southern Colorado with heavier morning cloud cover and a bit of sunshine breaking through by the afternoon. It will be warm today and that, combined with just enough moisture, can give us a few isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Any storms today would be pretty standard with brief heavy rain, lightning and small pea sized hail. It will be warm again today with Colorado Springs trying to hit 80 through the afternoon and Pueblo the upper 80s. Tonight we’ll be dry and cool with the breeze dying down through the evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 80; Low – 49. Warm and windy this afternoon with an isolated thunderstorm possible between 4 to 5pm. Pea sized hail is possible in any storms today. Dry and cool tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 87; Low – 52. Hot and breezy this afternoon with an isolated thunderstorm possible from 3 to 4pm. Dry and cool tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 83; Low – 52. Mainly dry today with a warm and breezy afternoon. Dry and cool tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 70; Low – 43. Beautiful and breezy today with an isolated shower possible after 4pm today. Dry and cool tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 70s; Low – 40s. Warm and breezy this afternoon with an isolated thunderstorm possible between 4 to 5pm. Pea sized hail is possible in any storms today. Dry and cool tonight.

PLAINS: High – 80s; Low – 40s. Cloudy but warm today with a stronger afternoon wind. Cool and dry tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 80s; Low – 40s. Quick thunderstorm north of Walsenburg is possible this afternoon after 2pm. Cool and dry tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER:
A large and intense warming trend takes over Wednesday and lasts well into the weekend over southern Colorado. Highs will push from the mid to upper 80s in Colorado Springs and Pueblo will be in the upper 90s by the weekend. It’ll be windy towards the end of the week and that will likely mean we’ll see the return of Red Flag Warnings and weather alert days.
