Trio of CC Tigers sign pro contracts

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — Three Colorado College senior forwards will continue their hockey careers after signing professional contracts on Wednesday. Trey Bradley signed a one-year contract beginning in the 2019-20 season with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, Mason Bergh inked an amateur tryout agreement with the AHL’s Ontario Reign and Trevor Gooch will join the Reading Royals of the East Coast Hockey League.

Bradley, who will join the Marlies on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the 2018-19 season, completed his career at CC with 31 goals and 56 assists for 87 points. He led the team in scoring this season with a career-high 34 points (15g,19a), which is tied for sixth in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. Toronto is the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bergh will join the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings after finishing his career with 43 goals and 62 assists for 105 points, becoming the 75th player in program history to join the Century Club. He was third on the team this season with 28 points (7g,21a) after placing second on the squad with 40 (18g,22a) as a junior.

Gooch, meanwhile, finished fifth on the team this season with a career-high 23 points (11g,12a) and wrapped up his career with 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points. Reading is a member of the North Division of the ECHL’s Eastern Conference and an affiliate of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.
